The Challenge:
To produce and deliver a “Sport, Leisure and Hospitality Strategy” designed to improve the AFC Fylde stadium match day and non-match day customer hospitality experience.
The Solution:
In collaboration with the Club owner, AFC Fylde CEO and the Mill Farm Sports Village Executive Team a Sports, Leisure and Hospitality Strategy was created and implemented in tandem with a Mill Farm Sports Village organisational restructure.
The strategy focused upon creating operating plans for all aspects of the stadium operation including match day stadium operating plans, Italian restaurant, hospitality and banqueting suites, sports bars, kiosk operations, all weather sports centre and 18-bed boutique hotel. The assignment took 6 months to complete and I assumed the role of MD during this time after which I handed the strategy implementation programme over to the newly restructured Executive Team.
The sales and profit performance of the Village has improved significantly and the organisational restructure is forecast to deliver a high six-figure annualised cost saving.
